Travel back to when Southern Indiana was covered by a salt water sea as you discover the world-renown fossil beds that date back 400 million years.  There are 220 acres of exposed Devonian fossil beds to explore.  The Interpretive Center features a full size mammoth skeleton, plus there are exhibits on geology, history and cultural development of the Falls of the Ohio.  A spectacular audiovisual show is also offered.

Experience the forest at this National award winning attraction!  Stroll through an indoor forest, complete with a running stream.  The Forest Discovery Center Theatre offers a presentation "Keepers of the Forest".  Other features include a mini-theatre, which features four short films, a 1,000 square foot marquetry mural, interactive exhibits and a manufacturing tour of Koetter's Woodworking Plant state-of-the-art rough mill plant.

Scribner House

The house was built in 1814 by Joel Scribner, one of New Albany's founders (1813). It contains antiques, books, paintings, toys, textiles, photographs, family histories, and letters, much of which belonged to the Scribner family. The house was lived in by the Scribner family from 1814 to 1917. It was then purchased by the Piankeshaw Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution that was founded in 1898.
