Welcome to the Southern Indiana Convention and Tourism Bureau World Wide
Web site. Try to say that three times quickly! We know that is a
long name so we coined the nickname of the Sunny Side of
Louisville. Yes, Louisville is in Kentucky and we are
Indiana-separated only by the historic Ohio River.
The Sunny Side offers some of the most fascinating geographical sites
including the Falls of the Ohio, world renowned Devonian era fossil beds; the
Floyd Knobs area which boasts panoramic views of the Ohio River Valley and the
skyline of Louisville. Find these and other places of interest in the Stay and
Play section.
From Steamboat Days to Harvest Homecoming to hot air balloon races, any
season is eventful on the Sunny Side. The spring time offers many special
activities associated with the Kentucky Derby beginning with Thunder over
Louisville, the largest fireworks display in the U.S. The autumn boasts many
outdoor festivals and events, so be sure and visit our Calendar of Events
section.
If you need to find out how to get to all these fascinating sites visit our
Getting Around section. And if you are looking for accommodations check our
