Permanent Exhibit - Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage: Men and Women of the Underground Railroad in the Indiana and Kentucky Borderland -  Carnegie Center for Art and History in New Albany.  This exhibit examines the nature of the antislavery community in Floyd County, Indiana, and places it in a regional and national context by describing the social, economic and cultural contours of the Falls region of the Ohio River Valley. Based on the book by Pamela Peters titled The Underground Railroad in Floyd County (North Carolina, 2001), the project contributes to the work by scholars such as Dr. Blaine Hudson at the University of Louisville, whose ongoing re-evaluation of the abolitionist movement has led to increased interest in the Underground Railroad.  201 E. Clark County Farmers' Market - Garlic, lettuce, hanging flower baskets and many other items will be on sale at the Clark County Farmers Market.  The market is in its eighth season and will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Preservation Park on Market Street in downtown Jeffersonville on Saturdays and 4:00 to 7:00p.m. on Tuesdays.  About eight vendors are expected to sell their wares on Saturdays.  The market is sponsored by Jeffersonville Main Street Inc.

May 13 - June 21 - Father Of The Bride, Derby Dinner Playhouse, Clarksville - As the wedding day of his daughter nears, the guest list grows and so does Mr. Bank’s debt! Laugh and cry through the emotions and money in this touching comedy.  This play was written by Caroline Francke and was based on the novel by Edward Streeter. In 1950 the film “Father of the Bride” was made starring Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor and was nominated for several Academy Awards. “Father of the Bride” was also made into a television series which aired in 1961. March - Jeffersonville Main Street Presents:  the 4th Annual Chili & Beer Bonanza!
